The intervention consists in redeveloping existing building stock and improving the environmental and hospitality value at the Moscatello agricultural holding which has a surface area of some 800 hectares of land and a built surface area of approximately 7000 square metres, comprising several former farm buildings. The environmental value of the area is outstanding and it falls under the control of the competent protection authority. The aim of the project, which started a few years ago, was to upgrade the land management and the environmental assets of Tenuta di Moscatello, through several interventions that, with time, have allowed the reuse of the buildings no longer required for farming activities. Part of the project involved the reuse of existing building stock and the other part entailed the transfer of volumes obtained from the transformation of the farm’s old livestock facilities. Two new attractions are currently being developed to complement the project, a golf course and an equestrian centre with guestrooms and a club house. The competent authorities are also redeveloping what remains of the medieval castle in which Pia dei Tolomei, mentioned by Dante Alighieri in the Divine Comedy, spent the last years of her life. The renovated farm holdings are being reconverted to spacious residences surrounded by nature and equipped with modern amenities and swimming pools. They are designed to deliver value through superb quality and architectural standards and are perfectly integrated into the landscape, hence providing endless enjoyment of their surroundings.
