Architect Bernardo Tori — the leader of a modern architecture practice — began working in Florence in 1980, concentrating primarily on rehabilitation and refurbishment of historical buildings, reconciling the need to protect the historical, artistic and landscape heritage with the requirements of modern living and functional standards in buildings put to a different use.

The experience Architect Tori gained in the rehabilitation, renovation and refurbishment of important historic buildings has been especially important, as has been his work in very delicate landscape and urban contexts.

The Practice — which formerly included other architects as associates — has recently begun to work on designing new buildings with a variety of different purposes: major wineries and tourist centres, as well as other rehabilitation projects, of residential, commercial and office buildings.
